We are delighted to share the fantastic news that our Financial Director, Nicola Chambers, has been named the winner of the prestigious East Midlands Chambers Enterprising Women Award in the ‘Developing Leader’ category!
Sponsored by Sarah Higgins Corporate Coaching, the Developing Leader award celebrates women on an upward career trajectory who demonstrate exceptional potential to become future industry leaders. The award recognises hard work, ambition, and determination of businesswomen across the East Midlands – recognition which Nicola absolutely deserves.
Dales Managing Director, Andy Purdy, who nominated Nicola for the award, commented:
“When the applications opened for this year’s Enterprising Women Awards, I knew Nicola was the perfect person to put forward for the Developing Leader category. Her dedication, leadership, and positive impact on the team make her a truly deserving winner – it’s wonderful to see her efforts recognised.”
Reflecting on her win, Nicola said:
“Winning this award has made me realise the importance of believing in yourself. Sometimes we doubt our own abilities, but this recognition has shown me that it’s okay to be proud of your successes and trust in your potential.”
The Dales Team celebrated Nicola’s win at the 2025 Enterprising Women Awards Ceremony.
In the lead-up to the awards, Nicola was also invited to speak about her nomination on the Erewash Sound Business Show, where she reflected on her career journey and what the recognition meant to her. You can listen back to her interview here: Nicola’s Erewash Sound Interview.
