Earlier this year, Dales shared our involvement in the new Matlock Fire Station. We are therefore thrilled to announce that the new Matlock Fire Station, a modern facility equipped with sustainable and energy-efficient technologies, officially opened on October the 22nd, 2024.
Aluminium Products for a Future-Ready Fire Station:
For the project, Dales supplied our Aluminium Rainwater Pipes, Guttering, Sigma Fascia Soffits, and Meridian Coping Systems, all finished in RAL 7024 Matt Graphite Grey. These products’ sleek and modern appearance perfectly complements the station’s advanced design. Additionally, our products are built to withstand the elements, ensuring long-lasting performance for a critical facility that will serve and protect the Matlock community for years to come.

The £4.3 million station reflects Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Services commitment to sustainability and forward-thinking community service. Replacing a facility that had served Matlock for over 60 years, the new station was built with energy and carbon efficiency in mind. Designed to minimize environmental impact, the station incorporates a range of eco-friendly technologies, including solar panels, sensor-activated LED lighting, water-saving fixtures, and fully electric heating systems.

Enhanced Facilities:
Beyond its commitment to environmental progress, the station offers enhanced functionality to better serve the community. In addition to providing accommodations for fire service personnel, the facility includes a state-of-the-art smoke training facility, simulating a typical three-bedroom house alongside a commercial stairwell, basement, loft, and confined space to support realistic training scenarios.
