Dales Increases Professional Indemnity Cover to £5 Million

Oct 29, 2025 | News

Dales’ Professional Indemnity Insurance has been renewed for 2025/26, with cover increasing from £2 million to £5 million.

This higher level of protection applies to all Dales’ bespoke designs and manufactured aluminium systems, including Fascia, Soffit, Coping, Gutters, Pipes, and Solar Shading. Professional Indemnity Insurance protects both Dales and our clients if an error or issue arises in project completion. In the unlikely event that something does go wrong, this insurance ensures that the cost of putting it right is covered, protecting clients and projects from financial loss.

Dales’ Professional Indemnity Insurance has been renewed for 2025/26, with cover increasing from £2 million to £5 million.

Why Professional Indemnity Insurance Matters

While many design consultants hold Professional Indemnity Insurance, it is much less common among manufacturers and has become increasingly difficult to obtain. Dales has held continuous Professional Indemnity cover for more than 20 years and remains one of the few manufacturers in our sector to offer this level of protection. Increasing the cover to £5 million strengthens that commitment and gives clients additional confidence when working with us on complex or high-value projects.

“Taking responsibility for our designs goes hand in hand with making quality products,” says Andy Purdy, Managing Director. “By increasing our Professional Indemnity cover to £5 million, we are giving our customers clear assurance that we stand behind every system we produce.”

What this means for our customers:

  • Higher protection: Claims for design errors or omissions are now covered up to £5 million.
  • Support for larger projects: The higher limit of £5 million allows us to work on more complex or higher-value projects with full insurance cover.
  • Clear accountability: Holding Professional Indemnity Insurance confirms that Dales takes full responsibility for our design work.

Our Quality and Environmental Standards

This increase in Professional Indemnity Insurance sits alongside our other accreditations and commitments. Dales holds ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management and ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management, reflecting the same careful approach we take across all parts of the business.

Our thanks go to Bannerman Rendell Brokers for their valuable support throughout the renewal process and in helping us secure this enhanced level of cover.
