Dales Renews ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

Sep 8, 2026 | Legislation, News

We’re pleased to announce that Dales Fabrications has successfully passed our latest ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management and ISO 14001:2015  Environmental Management audits, with both certifications now renewed.

As a UK manufacturer of aluminium building products, maintaining high standards across our manufacturing processes, quality management and environmental performance is an important part of how we operate. Successfully passing both audits provides independent recognition of the systems and procedures we have in place across the business.

What are ISO 9001 and ISO 14001?

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards provide internationally recognised frameworks that help businesses establish, maintain and continually improve their management systems.

For Dales, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are particularly relevant to the way we manufacture and supply aluminium building products.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. It focuses on maintaining effective processes that consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements, while supporting continual improvement.

At Dales, our ISO 9001 certification forms part of our approach to maintaining consistent quality across our products and services and looks at the processes involved in how our products are manufactured, checked and supplied.

ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management

ISO 14001 focuses on environmental management. It provides a structured approach to identifying, managing and improving an organisation’s environmental performance.

For manufacturers, this can include areas such as resource use, waste, energy consumption and opportunities to reduce environmental impact. For Dales, our ISO 14001 certification supports our ongoing commitment to managing these areas responsibly and looking for ways to improve.

What does passing an ISO audit mean?

ISO certification requires ongoing commitment. Businesses are regularly audited to ensure their management systems continue to meet the requirements of the relevant standard and are being effectively implemented.

Our latest audits involved a detailed review of our processes and procedures by our auditor Intertek, making successfully passing both audits a positive reflection of the systems we have established across Dales.

It also provides reassurance to our customers that quality and environmental management are embedded within our day-to-day operations.

Why it’s important to Dales

Our ISO certifications are particularly important to us as a specialist aluminium manufacturer in the UK.

From residential and commercial developments to education, healthcare and heritage projects, maintaining consistent processes is essential. Our quality management system provides a structured approach to manufacturing and supplying these products, while our environmental management system ensures environmental considerations remain part of our wider operations.

A continued commitment

We’re proud to have successfully renewed both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification and to continue meeting the requirements of these internationally recognised standards.

As we approach 50 years of manufacturing aluminium building products in the UK, our commitment to quality, environmental management and continual improvement remains an important part of how we work.

Passing our ISO audits is a great result, but maintaining these standards is an ongoing process. We continue to review our systems and ways of working, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, maintain quality and reduce our environmental impact.
