Dales Fabrications is pleased to announce the renewal of our FORS Bronze membership for another year, reinforcing our commitment to safe, responsible, and reliable transport operations.
What is FORS bronze?
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme designed to improve standards across fleet operations, with a focus on safety, efficiency and environmental performance.
To achieve FORS bronze accreditation, organisations must demonstrate that they are legally compliant and following recognised good practice across areas including management, vehicles, drivers and operations. Bronze accreditation is maintained through an annual re-approval audit.
For Dales, maintaining our FORS Bronze membership is part of our wider commitment to continually reviewing and improving the way we operate our fleet.
Why does FORS accreditation matter to our customers?
For architects and contractors, FORS Bronze provides added reassurance that Dales’ transport operations are managed in line with recognised industry standards for safety, vehicle management and driver competence.
This is particularly important when products are being delivered directly to busy construction sites, where safe and reliable transport is an essential part of the supply chain.
Combined with our own dedicated transport fleet, our FORS accreditation demonstrates our commitment to managing deliveries responsibly and giving customers greater confidence.
Our own transport operation gives us greater control
One of the advantages of working with Dales is that we operate our own transport fleet, rather than relying solely on third-party haulage.
This gives us greater control over the delivery process and allows our transport operation to work closely with our production and project management teams.
We are also able to select the most appropriate vehicle for different delivery requirements. This is particularly useful when supplying large, long or bespoke aluminium products to construction sites where access, unloading and site conditions need to be considered carefully.
For our customers, that means:
- Greater delivery flexibility: Having our own fleet gives us more options when planning deliveries around project requirements and site constraints.
- Better control from factory to site: Because transport is part of our own operation, our teams can coordinate manufacturing, dispatch and delivery more closely.
- Experience with construction sites: Our drivers regularly deliver aluminium building products to commercial and construction projects, where safe access, unloading and site procedures are important considerations.
More than just a delivery
At Dales, we recognise delivery as an important part of the service we provide.
Whether we’re supplying aluminium eaves systems, gutters, pipes, wall copings, rainscreen panels, or solar shading, our products need to reach site safely and ready for installation.
Renewing our FORS Bronze accreditation for another year is another way we can demonstrate our commitment to doing that responsibly. Combined with our own fleet, experienced drivers and dedicated transport operation, it gives our customers greater confidence that their products are in safe hands from our factory to their project.
