Dales are pleased to announce that our apprentice team continues to grow with the recruitment of Ashley Davis as an Apprentice Estimator.
Ashley is keen to learn more about the metal fabrication industry and has started work in our primary factory in Ilkeston. This hands-on experience will provide Ashley with helpful insight into the manufacturing side of Dales-eaves, which will prove invaluable when he is preparing quotations. Ashley’s willingness to get involved so promptly is testament to his enthusiasm for his new role.
Ashley will shortly begin attending Derby College on day-release basis, enrolled onto a Business Administration Level 3 course.
Ashley became interested in working within the Construction industry after completing work-experience in the Building Control sector. Ashley particularly enjoyed the balance between off-site and on-site working, saying;
“I liked being able to spend time working on-site, but I also really enjoyed the ‘behind-the-scenes’ desk-based elements of the job. I believe that an estimating apprenticeship with Dales is similar, as it allows me to combine practical experience from several months working in the factory with my office-based training in estimating.”
Speaking about the apprentice team at Dales and Ashley’s recruitment, Andy Purdy, Managing Director at Dales, said;
“I am passionate about the continuation of our apprenticeship program and delighted that Ashley will be joining us.
We have former apprentices who have been with us for almost 10 years fulfilling relatively senior roles within the organisation, and the loyalty we enjoy from these team members, combined with the respect with which they are regarded by other members of the team, serves us all very well.”
